What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda, believed to be over 5000 years old is a beautiful ancient natural healing method, based on harmonizing the body and the mind by restoring the balance of the TRIDOSHAS or three elements - VATA, PITA and KAPHA (Air, Fire & Water) - of which the body is made of. The balance of these three doshas is seen as an individual constitution (Prakriti) in terms of Ayurveda and is used as a basis for Ayurvedic healing. It covers all aspects of health and well-being – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

Our program allows you to experience Ayurveda and Yoga together in their Motherland. You will clean your body and learn how simple changes in your everyday life – in diet, physical exercises, thinking patterns and routines, will promote energy and create other positive changes in your life. This all together will lead you to a more healthy, harmonious and balanced life.

Following in the footsteps of yoga, which already has a worldwide presence, Ayurveda is emerging today as one of the most important natural healing systems in the world.

● In the afternoon, after your nurturing treatments and spending quality time in our Rishikesh Yoga School’s beautiful surroundings, it’s time to attend yoga classes in order to support your body in the cleansing process.
