This yoga course is taught in a manner that simplifies techniques so you begin your practice with a strong and safe foundation. At Mahatma Yoga Ashram we freely give the skills needed to establish a foundation upon which healing can start. During this yoga beginners course you will learn in 7-10 days to see growth in your yoga practice and explore your relationship with yourself. Through the practice of pranayama ( breathing and cleansing exercises) teach you simple techniques to enhance your yoga experience.Chanting is an ancient way of using rhythm and sounds through simple mantra’s to create harmony of body and mind. Through repetition of words, one will enjoy the musical dimension of yoga and the joyful uplifting nature effects it has on our inner rhythm and soul.Our asana (postures) practice introduces postures and flow in a way that is accessible to all body types and ages. This beginners yoga course also teaches meditation (in meditation room as well as on the beach) which allows one to relax, quiet the mind, and be one with their breathing and inner silence. There is ample time for exploring, music making, art, walking, to relax, reading and self discovery while in a nurturing place with knowledgeable staff to support you in anyway possible.
All aspirants are advised to carefully consider the time and resources required for the course before forwarding the application for the yoga retreat or yoga course for beginners. The deposit submitted with the application is not refundable. However, in case of emergencies and other unavoidable emergencies the management at its discretion permits students to go for any other scheduled course within one year. We therefore recommend that all applicants carefully examine their upcoming obligations so that they may be able to devote their full attention to the yoga course.
